Man hit by car in Bradford in a 'critical' condition

Emergency crews attended the scene just after 1pm.

Police are appealing for information after a man was hit by a car in Bradford yesterday (12/2).

It happened at about 1.10pm when a blue Volvo XC 60 collided with a pedestrian on the A650 Shipley Airedale Road, close to its junction with Filey Street.

The pedestrian, a man in his thirties, suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital.

Officers say his condition is 'critical but stable'.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of what happened to contact the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team either by calling 101 or using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
