Power Cut Affecting University Of Leeds

Some buildings are closed today.

Some buildings at The University of Leeds are closed today because of a power cut.

It happened yesterday and work is continuing today to reconnect power.

11:30 UPDATE:

A number of buildings closed by the power outage will reopen this afternoon, while others remain closed.

The following buildings will fully re-open at 1pm today:

  • Baines Wing
  • Michael Sadler Building
  • Parkinson Building
  • Botany House
  • Brotherton Library.

All other buildings that were closed yesterday are expected to remain closed for the remainder of the day.

Students are encouraged to check Minerva, Uni Leeds App and direct communications from their schools to confirm if teaching is going ahead this afternoon.
